This place attracts remarkable talent but lets all this potential waste away. Has the friendliest people, felt welcomed immediately. Easy work that is highly paid. Good benefits and good location.

Poor management. Lacks direction. Doesn't know what it is (acts like a consultancy although it is an impartial research organisation). It is unclear what the value or purpose of the company is. Makes no impact in the Intelligent Mobility market. Rests itself on old laurels. Wants highly educated bums on seats for metrics. Did not apply skillset - skills rusted away. Orientation toward tight project management and bid writing. Poor communication throughout. Not innovative. A waste of government money. Constantly worked on projects I should not have as didn't have the experience or knowledge of the area. Was expected to do business development but wasn't agreed or discussed in the interview. Trying to implement anything new is hard work. Don't listen to new ideas that aren't easy to implement. Promotion unlikely. Pay rise unlikely. High labour turnover. Short spans at this place are typical. Not flexible about working hours or location. The word 'opportunity' is overused. It has a way of making you think something good is round the corner, making you want to stay but that thing (promised opportunity) never comes. Poor HR, little support when raised issues and poor processes that don't benefit the employees but do benefit the company.

Some technical and managerial people worth it for their human based relations. The rest is utterly rubbish.

This company is an example of how the mediocrity has rotten it from bottom to top. Few people are actually competent in their jobs, either from a technical point of view or a managerial point of view. The whole annual review process is a joke, salary/careers opportunities inexistent, leadership is laughable and their main technical driverless car challenge is indigent and embarrassing. Backstabbing and delation are raised as company culture. Externally, the poor and amateur reputation it drags is not usurped. All funders, including DfT and Innovate-UK know how bad this company is. Either you accept the company culture brainwash and shut your mouth or you are pressurised and put aside until you leave. Managers obstensibly flirting with female colleagues and trying to demonstrate how valuable your work can be although knowing how technically poor and indigent it is. For the good of tax-payer's money, leave or avoid that horrendous place where you'll learn nothing but the meanest ways to cheat on your colleagues or cheat on yourself to get promoted. Sadly, I am not the only one to reveal something is wrong with that company, on the other hand it's a relief.
