Vantaggi
The people you work with just about make it bearable.
Svantaggi
- Very long hours with a salary that doesn’t match. - By the time they got round to actually recruiting the badly understaffed teams, so many people were burnt out that it’s just a revolving door of new starters in and established staff out. - Management don’t understand the role nor have they made any effort in doing so leading to knee jerk reactions when things go wrong usually meaning an increase in the workload for the already understaffed control teams. - Management don’t actually like one another enough to communicate so all trying to push through their own separate agendas. - Very questionable HR decisions. - Staff are not listened to with many issues being easily fixed if management were to take notice of us. - Lowest paid staff members in the office are expected to come into the office for every shift (could easily be done as hybrid) with the highest paid barely making an appearance. - Same staff that are coming in for those shifts have no first aid cover or fire warden. - The main door to the office is locked evenings and weekends so regularly have no key holder in the office for 12 hours. The one spare key for the department was removed by a manager outside of the department meaning that if there is a fire on the side of the building with the one available fire exit then staff cannot evacuate on a nightshift or any shift over the weekend. Clearly a complete disregard to their employees safety.
