Vantaggi
-Some passionate and clever teammates, many working extremely hard to do their best work with the little they were given -100% remote policy
Svantaggi
-Favoritism ran rampant, (bestowed upon a small chosen few consistently) -Very cliquey - information contained only in “need to know circles” and guarded carefully -Constant strategy changes and pivots that were not well communicated -Very lean budget and team structure but expectations to “over deliver” constantly grew without adequate support -Constant layoffs across the organization (sometimes weekly) -Lots of talented people across the organization voluntarily leaving for other roles outside the company leaving holes that were not filled and over burdening an already beyond stretched team -No annual raises or bonuses (despite occasional mass generic HR assurance it would be evaluated and could be coming, next quarter, and then the next, and then the next…) -No opportunity for company sponsored training or development (never allowed or in the budget) -Managers were frequently good ICs promoted to (or holding) director level roles with team responsibility (based on favoritism) but without adequate training or coaching -PE owned company which led to lack of investment in critical roles, tools and processes required for expected (demanded) growth
