While we ultimately concluded it wasn’t the right fit, we shared a genuine connection, and I know I can reach out in the future if needed. Sadly few now. There used to be a really great time in place, but attrition through firing and burnout has really taken its toll.

Most management has been coalesced to the top two executives at the company and neither seem to communicate well. There's always some sort of flashy product launch upcoming that will take the company to the next level, but half of the organization is usually caught by surprise by the announcement. Employees that leave through their own choice or firing are pressured into signing a non-disparagement agreement, making it seem like things are going better from the outside than they really are. Projects go on forever due to ineffective management and impossible constraints and overall quality of software and development practices has nosedived after the majority of software engineering was offshored. Voicing security concerns about customer data handling or concerns about employees/contractors hired by the executives will get you ostracized. Last minute travel is the expectation, but that won't be advertised in the beginning. They're a Series A level company, but want to operate like a brand new cutting edge AI startup to tap into that hustle culture mentality so employees will ignore years of shrinking head count, red flags, and no changes in compensation. If you are looking for constantly changing expectations and a constant feeling of uneasiness and not knowing where you stand, then this is the place for you, otherwise avoid it.
