Svantaggi
I have to tell this story because what happened at Typeform is really a first for me in 15 years of professional career. I was never treated with such disregard and lack of professional respect. I interviewed with Typeform in October/November 2023, in parallel with 2 other (big)tech companies. I got to offer stage with all 3. While Typeform did not have the strongest offer in TC, they made serious efforts to match my expectations and sold a lot of hope, like an upcoming exit-event. They also provided great flexibility as a remote-first company. I accepted the offer at Typeform and proceeded to quit the role I currently had and also decline the 2 other offers I received. Then, 1 week before Christmas, the VP of People called me to tell me they rescind the offer and will not provide any support, neither financial, nor logistical, to be able to find another role. As a reason I was told that all hiring is frozen as a of executive changes. The VP of People deflected all responsibility in the call from himself -> to the board, so that he could feel "blameless" on the call and go on about how "this is so hard for him to do". Yeah, I can only imagine how hard this is for YOU, dude. This says EVERYTHING you need to know about this company. From all the people I met in the interviewing process that promised the moon & stars, not one of them came back to me to at least say "I'm sorry". While I am generally confident in my abilities and will bounce back from this, I could have done without this Xmas gift. :) My advice: during the interview process you will get sold very well on stories about how Typeform changed and how things are different now because "we have new, strong management". They are incredibly good at selling. Don't believe it. This is the type of company that will leave you out in the cold for the holidays and not think twice about it. :) Terrible business outlook for the next year - don't even consider it.
