I enjoyed my time at USU and I learned a lot. The company is working to solve some very interesting challenges in the IT/Customer Service space, so the work was exciting. My colleagues at USU were very enjoyable to work with and I looked forward to coming to work each day (I worked from home, but I saw colleagues daily on Teams). I was particularly impressed by senior leadership in the US who are better than any I've ever encountered. They clearly stated expectations, progress, and were very supportive and quick to adapt to issues. For example, when people were feeling overwhelmed by meetings, they proactively reduced the recurring meetings by a significant amount, which had a very positive impact on my workday and ability to get tasks done.

USU just underwent a brand change and the company was reorganized, so 2021 was a year of adapting to that and figuring out the new processes, structures, etc., so there were some growing pains that the company is working through.

Executive leadership in Germany runs this company like it is 1984. Complete micro-management and zero strategic understanding of how to localize a brand to be competitive in the North American market. Very little opportunity for professional growth. In addition, this company has no interest in employee retention. Over 60% of the global marketing team has resigned in the year since a new (grossly unqualified) CMO was hired: the company's stand is "it's not us, it's them". Shameful.

Thank you for posting this review. I am sorry to hear that your experience at USU was not ideal. However, your feedback is very important as employee satisfaction is one of our key initiatives at USU. The organization did experience some growing pains in 2021 as we transitioned from a number of separate brands/divisions into one larger, global organization. These divisions had very different processes and cultures, so this transition was not without a few bumps in the road. However, we strongly believe that this change was necessary to continue competing at a global level. We’re proactively conducting retention interviews with the global marketing team and we’re in the process of making some fundamental changes to continue to improve the employee experience in that department. In spite of the changes with this transition, our steady growth has continued, and we are now in a better position to accelerate that growth as one cohesive global team.
