Vantaggi
Lots of autonomy. Room for trial-and-error. Incredibly talented and welcoming people. They take care of their employees with generous benefits and stipends. I never felt the need to work excessive hours.
Svantaggi
At the rate that this company wants to grow, and is growing, they are not implementing new roles and systematic changes to keep up with the growth. Although Very has been around for some time, it's still in 'startup mode' and some days can be challenging trying to navigate where to go for answers with limited tools, resources, and documentation. Upper management takes *financial* advantage of early career employees - particularly those based in LatAm. The top heavy org structure does not help this. Lots of meetings that could be slack messages. The value of transparency really only applies to salary. I think this is something Very is actively working on, but the lack of cross-communication between disciplines causes a lot of friction in terms of prioritization and just general understanding. Retention. It says a lot about an organization when employees either leave after 8 months OR 3 years - not much in between. A great deal of inter-company politics starting to stir.
