Vantaggi
-unlimited time off -seamless stipend -good benefits?
Svantaggi
-Designers are worked to the bone -Too top heavy -Will lay off half the company with no warning I started at Within when it was much smaller, we had an art director and manager per client. Suddenly 10 people were being hired every week, all of them upper management and very few designers. I expressed how badly we needed more designers because the we were overwhelmed with such short turn around times but I was ignored. There were multiple times when I was given notes at 9 or 10 pm and expected to have them in the next day. In company scrums the upper management was praised for pulling it all off, not the designers. That being said, I worked with a lot of great people and I'm so disappointed that the CEO didn't respect us enough to even look us in the face as he laid over 100 employees off (he disabled our google meet cameras and mics). This was only 2 months after he told us that there would be no more layoffs and only 4 months after many of us received substantial raises and a company retreat to Nashville. We were repeatedly told that we were family but obviously we were expendable. Rumors spread that there would be another round of layoffs but none of the management was honest to us about it. They didn't even let us have one more day of seamless as they disabled it the week before and then lied saying it was a technical error. The creative team is now down to 12 people and I'm sure they will be forced to work long hours and weekends to meet clients demands. I'm not sure which is worse, being let go or having to keep working at this sinking ship of a company.
