Wells Fargo was a great place to work. But under this new senior leadership team, they don’t listen or value their employees. We are no longer ‘team members’ we have been reclassified as ‘employees’. A decision by senior leadership has been made that in the future, people who do not live in or near a hub city, will not be able to advance their career unless they relocate to a hub city. They believe they will have enough diversity and talent to draw from in the hub cities. So, it will be diversity through exclusion. Employees are leaving because their opportunity to advance their career is being taken away. Their commitment to work with the employees to help advance their career means nothing. Actions do speak louder than words. The current hot button issue - we are expected to return to office next month. People who had remote/work from home agreements in place had the agreements rescinded. They are taking the position that in-person collaboration is the way of the future. But the issue (which they are ignoring) is that we don’t physically work with other people on our team. More often than not, people within groups are spread out throughout the country. True diversity. People believe that WF is taking this hard stance to encourage voluntary attrition. What I am sad that senior leadership does not value our opinions or listen to our concerns.
