I had a great time at XY. Colleagues were smart and interesting. The management team are very approachable and close to day-to-day business, and care about the future of the company. The London office is less than 2 years old but has developed an excellent culture, with lots of socials and communal lunches. The company has grown tremendously since I have been there, and there are lots of opportunities to get involved in many different projects, and make a real impact no matter what your level is. Also have some WFH flexibility for part of the week.

The company is ambitious and has grown a lot. Which is mostly all positive, but has meant that the company has had to be nimble on its core strategies as it pursues market edge. This has meant teams have had to show flexibility with adjusting to this start-up culture. This may not be for everyone, as certain projects may get re-prioritised from time-to-time to better meet evolving business needs quickly, which can feel frustrating at times. However these are the typical growing pains of any buy-side start-up looking to seriously challenge more established market players.
