The little I’ve gotten to know the team, they’re all really nice. I’ve received helped from some fellow teammates and that was encouraging. One of the sales managers is also supportive.

ZipLocal sets you up to fail because of its history. The businesses foundation is YELLOW BOOKS!! The only reason there is recurring revenue is because of the sneaky and dishonest contracts. Either they have auto-renewals or they record any random client employee to verbally sign another contract. Of course ZipLocal has lawyers on standby to intimidate small businesses for not paying. Look up the BBB and one customer explains their experience. Of course leadership knows that yellow books are a dying business so they’ve rebranded their offerings as “digital marketing”. Anybody that has experience with SEO and web design will quickly realize that our services are mediocre. It’s all about locking small businesses into a contract then threatening to litigate. That’s the business model. It’s very lucrative. For example: -yellow books have high profit margin -digital marketing isn’t providing real value so inexpensive to service -threaten small business to pay up -ride this out until there is nobody to sue -leadership gets paid a lot while sales and others get paid very little -once yellow books sales dry out, CEO will shut down ZipLocal and retire Unless you like working at a call center and don’t mind lying to customers, there is no reason to work here. It can easily be a step backward in your career.
