I would think that a company that has less than 40 people would be a lot more cohesive and collaborative. If I had to explain how do you work culture is at a very high-level, I would say that it resembles a lot like high school. Many of the senior management plus a few other staff are in the “in” circle - similar to a stereotypical group of rude jocks Who think they are superior and better than the rest. They are arrogant, disrespectful, and basically will never greet you, look in your way, or speak to you unless you are someone in their group. The new senior management's behaviour is the most condescending behaviour I have ever experienced in my life at a work environment thus far. They will never ever apologize for rude behavior, and will make sure that the blame is on every other employee rather than taking accountability for their own actions. I have not worked with that people in the past that makes employees feel that they are not worthy. They walk around not looking at anyone other than the inner circle of friends at work and never fail to mention how great they are and their accomplishments in any given conversation. They have already fired everyone that speaks up or disagrees. If you want to be an emotionless robot that has no morals or integrity, and are looking for an unstable and unstimulating job, mdbriefcase is the place to be.

Extra long weekends in the summer (extra day tacked onto the holiday weekend), full week off during Christmas

Extremely disorganized management who don't care about their employees or reward them for their hard work. Some senior managers just don't respect you or your time at all and are very rude. Very cheap (low pay and zero social activities - if you don't count the 1 summer event and 1 Christmas event). When someone leaves all they give them is a $1 card everyone signs, and maybe some $3 cupcakes from Loblaws if they like you enough. It's an embrassment how poor the leadership is from up top. No real HR either - don't bother filing an employee complaint because they won't do anything about it.
