My brother had the same position before me. It was just a phone interview with the 4 researchers and the supervision. I did have some trouble with some paperwork. I didn't go to school in the same city as the main campus. I had to do a drug test in the city I lived in. They lost the drug test so I wasn't able to start work until I did another test.

Got an email back about a week after I applied, had a short information session/casual interview over Zoom, then an in-person interview and lab tour with my researcher. Straightforward, communicated from the beginning that it was a position with limited hours that continued over the school year.

I had an initial phone interview with the hiring manager about lab experience and status in school. The on-site interview was a tour of the lab and a few simple questions.

I applied online and received an email about a week later asking for a video call interview. I interviewed with 4 of the engineers in the lab and spoke with them for about 25 minutes. I was offered the position a few days later.
