You first some online assessments through the platform Crossover (owned by the same parent company). This includes an old-fashioned IQ test that is completely unrelated to the skills needed to succeed in the job, and a language proficiency test (including an oral section) that is tedious for someone who has already demonstrated language fluency through everything else on the application. The next step if you pass these is to complete assessments more directly related to the job but also much more time consuming. You will be expected to create a sample "workshop" (a multi-step project) and a video lesson about a topic assigned to you. The first takes a few hours to do well, and the second takes at least an hour (in spite of anything they tell you to the contrary). After this, you will have an interview with a member of Crossover hiring team. Then, you will finally interview with someone from Alpha (your future supervisor). They will ask standard interview questions and want to discuss your sample workshop. My second interview also focused quite a bit on how I would adjust the project for a completely online audience (not what the position originally asked for). This made it seem they still weren't sure what the position would look like.
