I was called on the phone about going in for an interview a couple days after I applied. I went into the theater and was seated for a few minutes while I waited for a supervisor to conduct the interview. We went to a bench in between the theaters so there were guests walking in and out while the interview was happening. There was only one interview and after it was over they told me that I will be contacted if they decided that they wanted to go further into the interview process with me.

The most unexpected question was when they asked to explain the benefits of their card to them and basically "sell" it to them. They give you a pamphlet while you wait for the supervisors and you are supposed to read about their card. I however was not expecting to have to "sell" it during the interview.

How are you with customer service and problem solving angry customers? It wasnt bad, a lot of what would you do if type questions. I got the job eventually. And it was my favorite.

Process is fairly easy. If they're interested in your online application, they do a phone screening. If you do well on that one, they call you in to do an interview for the specific theater. Most of the questions are personality based. They do have you have you pitch AMC Stubs just to get a feel of how you'd present it to customers. Not sure why someone said people get hired on the spot as I never came across a crew member that got hired immediately, even if they were short staffed. Typically it takes a couple days before they give you a response.
