Took about 3 months. Applied online. Was working with a previous employer. Was actively seeking a new opportunity. Got a call back. then 3 interviews.
To prepare, I read about 3-4 books on interviews.Key thing here is to study behavioral interviews.
1st interview -kind of fun. "walk me through your resume"
2nd interview - a little painful but not unmanageable. it was over the phone. was done through an independent contractor. They basically drilled you on your past work experience. "Give me a time when you were on a team and something went wrong?". Then proceeded to drill into my story and attempt to apply pressure by challenging some of the thought process.
3rd interview was in Chicago. I was so nervous, I thought I bombed it. met a small team. then met 2 managing directors. here, they're looking for a "fit". Basically, they know you got the stuff to do the job but do you really want to be a consultant. Show some passion about travel, challenge, people and be excited about the opportunity and you should get the OK. Make it clear that you're hungry for a chance and they'll let you in.

Das Case-Interview war auch komplett in der falschen Branche für meine Bewerbung. Nach dem Case Interview wurde ich gefragt, was meine Einstellungen für den Job sind. Mir wurde gesagt, dass die Arbeitszeit eher bei einer 60-Stunden-Woche liegt und es kein Privatleben gibt. Zudem wurde mir mitgeteilt, dass ich mich falsch beworben habe.
