I responded to a post on ZipRecruiter and interviewed in-person with the company's HR contact. While she was personable and I enjoyed our conversation, there was no further contact letting me know whether I would be continuing in the process. I understand companies may not have enough time to respond to every applicant following initial applications and initial screening phone interviews, but after candidates take hours out of their day for on-site conversation, it is common decency to update candidates on the process — particularly after such updates are verbally promised. Lack of consideration for others once their value diminishes to you reflects poorly on the organization.
