I went through a full interview process with Ahold Delhaize, meeting with the recruiter, the hiring manager, one of his peers, and the hiring manager’s leader. The recruiter was professional and communicative throughout most of the process, but after the final interview, all communication stopped. I sent multiple polite follow-up emails over several weeks but received no reply from either the recruiter or the hiring manager. It’s disappointing when companies don’t extend basic courtesy to candidates who invest time and effort into their process. A simple “no longer under consideration” message would have shown respect and professionalism. I hope the company improves its candidate experience and communication practices.
