One interview I had with hiring manager as they started building the team, I was based on Barcelona but I visited home for holidays , and as the Iran war broke out and we had internet blackout I couldn't connect, I lost connection during the first interview and this interviewer set me a new deadline. As flights were canceled it took me 3 days by mix of car and flight to get out of the country and in between I did the interview which I was so exhuasted. I have never heard from them again. I followed up twice and the hiring manager didn't answer. Probably I looked strange and they wanted more straight forward amd easier candidates. The thing is they wanted various skill levels for the role and then never heard back from them was strange. Hey HRs and hiring managers please give feedback it is the least you can do for the candidate. People think they should donate to a charity in order to be humanitarian but you should do good in your immidiate environment. Just the simple act of respect and humanity. There is a story behind those candidates like me. Do you know how it feels when you have 3 high level master degrees from top universities and so many years of work experiece in your country but because of the economic and fraud condition of Iran you couldnt progress out of the country. Do you know how it feels to not talk to people for two years because of the war and immigration of local friends and family members. Slow interview process. You meet with different stakeholders from different departments. The format was very consulting oriented. The interview times kept changing last minute. When I met with the different interviewers, I kept getting conflicting information about the role and responsabilities. I asked some information about the product to help me prepare for the take home assigmnt and never got the feedback.
