Applied online and heard back within 2 days from a recruiter. Quick phone screen, mostly about myself and expected salary. Set up an on-site interview for the following week. Interviewer was very laid back and outgoing. More concerned with my fit with the company and the role. Two days later I set up another interview with the manager I’ll be working for. Not as laid back as the first, but similar to the first interview. Threw in a few technical questions, definitions and basic financial equations. Less than one week from this interview I was called for an informal offer. Total time 3 weeks.

3 rounds of interviews and lengthy background check. The interviews were not hard question very basic tell me about a time and behavior based. Let your personality shine through. Brush up on your financial services knowledge. Because you must let this shine to show your ability to adapt in a regulated environment.

I had three interviews, one final one which was about an hour all for them to laugh when I told them I was looking to make anywhere from 50,000-60,000 depending on the benefits when asked about my salary range… really don’t know how much lower an analyst salary can get for an analyst position. I met some of the team during interviews and the company culture just seemed a little toxic, lots of sarcastic jokes and unhappy staff… could have just been that team but overall happy I did not end up working there.

Overall a smooth and transparent process. Very professional and was reflective of the culture. It took multiple stages but was overall quick. Questions were a mix of past experience and industry knowledge
