I received an interview invitation almost immediately after submitting my application and went through two rounds with the team before receiving an offer. The entire process took about 1 to 1.5 months. HR was incredibly professional — she communicated clearly at every stage and played an active role in the interviews, helping facilitate smooth, engaging conversations. There was never an awkward moment. All of the principals I spoke with were genuinely friendly and asked thoughtful, detailed questions about my portfolio, which I truly appreciated. It was clear they had reviewed my work carefully, and that made me feel respected and valued as a candidate. What really stood out was that both sides were working to build a case for the right fit — it didn’t feel like I was the only one trying to “prove” myself. Even only as an intermediate-level designer, the conversations felt collaborative, mutual, and grounded in respect. Since I’m based outside of Minnesota, HR also offered a virtual office tour and connected me with a peer at a similar level to give me a clearer picture of the team and culture. The offer I received was very competitive, and the benefits package was equally compelling. Although I ultimately declined the offer for personal reasons, I can confidently say this was one of the most thoughtful and well-organized interview experiences I’ve had. I even connected with a few team members afterward — and have no doubt Alliiance is a great team to work with.
