Contacted by a recruiter and scheduled a remote interview. The interview is conducted in Chinese. But during the entire interview the interviewer which is the HR of the company did not turn on their camera which seems quite unprofessional. Most questions were related to my past experience that were relevant to the job.

Quite negative interview experience. I applied the job through recruiter. The HR was late for the interview and was very arrogant from beginning to the end. HR asked me about my expected salary and told me I asked too much. OT is needed. Was really interested in the company and the position, but after 1st round of interview, my view on the company changed 180 degree.
My thoughts: HR being the first contact point should be more genuine. If the senior HR who hire executives felt it’s a waste for them to interview junior position candidates, maybe they should delegate the duties to other HRs. Also, the whole interview transmitted to me a message that the company is short-handed of manpower.
