First, an initial phone screen. Then, they make you take one of those automated tests. Then another tech screen. Then one more tech screen. Most of the questions they ask have little to nothing to do with the apparent day-to-day; the interviewers just feel like showing off their tech skills instead of probing about your knowledge as it would apply to the job at hand.
