A fairly easy interview process, but lengthy selection process time frame. Submitted the application online for the role to receive an invitation to a self-paced on-demand video interview two days later, followed by an invitation to a second-round panel interview two weeks afterward of peers using the STAR format. The final round took place about two weeks later with the hiring manager, which was somewhat casual and more of a conversation, and was met with honesty and transparency regarding the next steps. I was told that the selection process moved slowly, but expected to make a decision within 1-2 weeks. I was encouraged to reach out to the recruiter for an update if the time frame passed without communication on their end. Unfortunately, reaching out for an update after two weeks turned into six weeks (requests for follow up roughly making biweekly increments) before being told a decision was made to move forward with another candidate.
