Colloquio
Apple’s interview process for a London-based software role typically begins with an initial recruiter call to assess fit and discuss the role. This is followed by one or two technical phone or video interviews with engineers, focusing on coding, problem-solving, and sometimes system design, using platforms like CoderPad. Successful candidates are then invited to a full-day (virtual or onsite) panel interview, usually comprising 4–6 technical rounds. These cover algorithms, data structures, system design, and sometimes domain-specific knowledge (e.g., iOS, backend). Cultural fit and collaboration are also evaluated. Interviewers value clear communication, clean code, and structured thinking. Apple tends to prioritise depth of understanding over rote memorisation, and the process can take a few weeks to complete.

I knew this was a longshot, but it was cool to see what the company looks like from the company of someone hiring. Enjoyed trying out nonetheless. Seems like one of those work hard play hard type environments.

It was hard and I did not like that. But I finished the interview and there were many rounds of coding questions. I also had a lot of questions about the interview process that they answered nicely.
