Summary: It's a scam. Avoid them. The overall interview was very quick and attended by two members of HR. They asked if it was okay to record the interview and were surprised that I had a portfolio to share with them. It's a visual design role so you need to see the candidates ability to create content. That shouldn't be a surprise. They were surprised that I had even prepared anything. There were no relevant questions regarding my experience or my industry. At the very end of the interview they told me I would be required to pay a fee of €10 before I could begin working. They expected me to work immediately and no time off would be given in the first month of work due to the onboarding requirements. It's an 8-10 hour voluntary position, what amount of onboarding do they require? Overall I don't trust them. They were ill prepared and seemed overly sketchy. They should absolutely be avoided. A quick Linkedin search brings up over 500 people associated with Arcadia which would mean a minimum of 5k generated, not including people who may have paid and then been ghosted.
