This was the worst interview process during my entire career in pharmaceutical industry. It felt like the only purpose of hiring manager to have this discussion is to show off himself and look down on people applying for a job. Although the discussion was very professional and I had an oppurtunity to ask questions, the interviewer posessed high level communication skills which allowed him to stay within the official business etiquette borders but make me feel like a dirt.
I did not get an offer but this was nothing unusal - we all receive rejections from time to time, this is life. But the way it was communicated to me was terrible: actually, there was no communication at all, complete ignore and disregard - no responses to my emails asking about feedback, no response to phone calls - nothing.
I had dozens of interviews in my career and I got rejections and I know that the companies which are much smaller and maybe not well known in the industry like AZ had much more respect to the candidates and behave professionally until the very end of the process.
Iater I was invited to another interview at AZ for another position in Oncology Clinical Development with another team, and I thought - OK, probably the things have changed and now it will be different. But I was wrong. It was again the same with the same non-responding at the end.
Now, AZ is the only company which job offers I am skipping even without opening them.
