I applied online, an email was received from the recruiter who set up an interview. I had a 10-15 min conversation with her. I called her about 5 mins before the set time, she was not prepared and didn't seem to know why I was calling even after I introduced myself. She did not seem to know much about the role and I did not feel like she was very knowledgeable. I currently work in the same position but at a different institution. I explained how we work on the same platform as listed on the posting however she did not seem to understand what I was talking about. I never received a confirmation whether I passed the phone interview or not, I followed up 1 1/2 weeks after the phone interview and she advised me the hiring manager was still reviewing. I'd like to think for such a big corporation they'd at least let you know if you did not pass the phone interview. Although this was only a recruiter, I thought she would be more familiar with the posting/job prior to interviewing candidates.
