Had three separate interviews by three panels of various attorneys. They asked about my prior work history and how that would prepare me for the position I was applying to.
3 interviews. More people in each. Pretty easy questions. Get to know you type stuff. This website makes me keep writing. It’s really annoying. Like, super annoying. And I’m just gonna keep writing
Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto 6 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Baker Donelson (Baltimore, MD)
Colloquio
This was a standard interview. Everyone I talked to seemed professional and nice. No matter the outcome of the interview, I initially walked away with good feelings toward the firm. However, my feelings of good will changed as I waited and waited and waited—for nearly 6 weeks—with absolutely no word from the firm. When I finally heard back from the firm (with a form rejection), I was not surprised - but I was offended that it took them so long to give me the decency of a response.
Look, I get it, rejections happen in every interview process and candidates are disappointed, but when a candidate gives up an entire day of billables to come interview with you and then you essentially ghost that candidate, it speaks poorly to your firm’s professionalism. I certainly would not refer a client to this firm based on this experience nor would I recommend this firm to my colleagues. The way a firm treats candidates speaks to the firm’s culture–and based on my experience, this firm has a lot of work to do to build a better culture.
