I interviewed with a representative staff member of Bay Legal at a public interest job fair in the Spring of my second year of law school. Having spoken to several other recruiting representative, it was refreshing to speak with Bay Legal. It was clear from the moment we began speaking that Bay Legal was looking for students committed to public interest, justice, and diversity. The interview quickly moved from the perfunctory to the interesting and by the end of the interview, I was offered a summer clerkship. I would advise law students seeking a clerkship with Bay Legal to have a demonstrated commitment to public interest work and to working with disadvantaged communities.

Virtual interview with a few attorneys but none of whom would be my future supervisors or work at my future office location. The interview was a bit stiff and not conversational. A couple of challenging but fair questions. Questions were asked aloud and put in the chat of the meeting room so that I could read them, but this ended up being a bit distracting since I paused to reread the questions instead of thinking of my answer and speaking.
