      Colloquio per 3D Prop Artist

      30 giu 2019
      Dipendente anonimo
      Irvine, CA
      Offerta accettata
      Esperienza positiva
      Colloquio facile

      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura tramite un selezionatore. La procedura ha richiesto 5 settimane. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Blizzard Entertainment (Irvine, CA) nel mese di giu 2019

      Colloquio

      0. Contact. I was contacted by a recruiter. We had a short phone call where he asked a few questions (description of the job he was recruiting me for, am I still interested; what's my availability; am I willing to relocate; what's my experience level; desired pay; etc) and then he scheduled a phone interview for me with the job position's leads (Lead Prop Artist and Art Manager). 1. Phone Interview. I had a phone interview with the Lead Prop Artist and the Art Manager about a week after my phone call with my recruiter. The phone interview was fairly short-- like 10-15 minutes. They asked questions to basically make sure I have the right technical skills and creative interests/enthusiasm for the job. 2. Art test. My recruiter contacted me I think a day later saying the phone call went well and they wanted to give me the prop art test. The base time-frame for this art test was two weeks, but the folks at Blizzard emphasized that they value quality over speed, so it's fine to ask for extra time. I asked for one extra week. When I finished my test, I emailed all my deliverables over to my recruiter and he passed them off to the team. 3. In-Person Interview. The following day I had a brief call with my recruiter during which he told me that the team wanted to bring me in for an in-person interview. It sounds like Blizzard will pay for all travel expenses for the interview (they'll book a flight and hotel for you), but since I live an hour's drive from Irvine I got a gift card reimbursement for gas instead. Anyway, the in-person interview was much longer than the phone interview. I was on campus for a total of about 3 hours. First was a 45 minute interview with the Prop Art Lead and Art Manager, where they asked pretty traditional interview questions, mostly about work experience type stuff. Next was a 45 minute interview with two of the Prop Artists, where they asked more art and design-related questions. Afterwards I was brought to the courtyard where I got to meet and hang out with all of the other artists on the prop art team for about 30 minutes for a casual conversation to get to know each other a little better. Finally I met with my recruiter in person, and he gave me a mini tour of the campus and also answered any other questions I had about Blizzard. He told me that he would reach out to report Blizzard's decision within two weeks. 4. Offer. I think exactly a week after my interview I got a phone call from my recruiter telling me Blizzard was pleased to offer me a job. He explained to me what my offered pay is, and we discussed a good start date.

      Domanda 1

If you could work on absolutely anything in World of Warcraft, what would it be and why?
