I applied online with a referral from a friend who was also working there at the time. His role was similar to mine. After a few days, to my surprise, I heard back almost immediately. The art team passed me their standard FX test. I spent about 1.5 weeks on the test even though they said I could spend up to 2 weeks. At the end of the test, I had my friend evaluate the test and he was impressed with what I could come up with. He explained to me that what Blizzard is looking for is can they take your art test and drop it in to the game right NOW, if so, you pass the art test. I passed the art test. The next phase was the 30 min phone interview with the team. The interview went smooth, but the only thing that stood out was that I asked them if they played any other games other than Blizzard games, and they seemed almost offended. The final phase would have been an onsite interview, but we did not get that far.

1 : 1 video call interview with the hiring manager , and then a video interview with the members of the team and was given a art test through email for submission.
