Was recruited as contractor by a previously unknown vendor, even though I'd contracted there before and had been using internal contacts and the public jobs board. Knew the hiring manager, but did not know of this newly created role. Had two phone interviews in two days and was offered the job on day three. This could have been much more efficiently managed.
