I applied online, but didn't hear anything back. Had to call the store in order to get my application looked at. (After working there I learned that most people had to do something like this). Then went in for a 7 pm interview. Normally people interview separately with both senior managers, but I only interviewed with one. Once hired wasn't able to get any kind of regular hours til almost 2 months in and I was able to establish that I can sell cards.

The interview was great. We chatted a lot about books, which was a nice indicator to me that there was an emphasis on providing good customer service. Other questions were pretty run of the mill. Very normal retail interview. They also asked about my school schedule, so we could work out a work schedule.
