Negative - unorganized, unprofessional, and unkind candidate treatment. For as much as Box prides itself on "being the best place to work", you would think the recruiters would treat candidates with at least a little bit of respect. For example, it takes two seconds to sign off a candidate via phone - which Box recruiters don't do (reading the other reviews here). I have been in other interview processes with other Bay Area tech companies where I only get to the first round and a recruiter will personally call me. In this situation, I made it to almost final rounds and got a (clearly copy and pasted template) email from the recruiter who didn't have the decency, time, or respect for me to take the time and call. The questions in the panel were also very unstructured and vague. Got the same questions repeated to me by various stakeholders - clearly none of them were on the same page about what they wanted to discuss with me. All in all - the process felt lazy and disingenuous. Speaks volumes about a culture... have read very similar reviews here so might be a pattern, unfortunately.

Interview process was smooth and professional. Recruiter was communicative and a pleasure to work with. The people interviewing you are the people you are going to work with, which is a green flag.
Process consisted of three stages:
Stage 1:
- Phone screening with recruiter
Stage 2:
- 1:1 virtual interview with a manager (x2)
Stage 3:
- 1:1 virtual interview with a manager
- 1:1 virtual interview with a current AE
- 1 hour in-person presentation to panel
Presentation prep was definitely challenging and time-consuming, but overall the interview process was clear in terms of what was expected. You can tell that the people are competent and know what they're doing!

This is disappointing as I really wanted the chance to work here. I interviewed for the same role twice in 2021 and 2023. Went through the same 4 round interview the last round being 3 hours with a presentation. I was told the feedback back in 2021 was not having SAAS experience and then when I came back in 2023 to interview I warned them of my situation that I still didn't have SAAS experience. They said it wasn't an issue and I went through the long process again to only find out I didn't get the role because I didn't have SAAS experience.
The process starts with a meeting with the recruiter, followed by a meeting with the hiring manager. Then there's a role-play (30 min mock discovery call) and a final panel interview (1 hour Territory Planning and Analysis + Deal Review). I was very impressed with the entire recruitment process. From the initial application to the panel interviews, every step of the way was very interesting yet challenging. The recruiter, hiring manager and Account Executives at Box were not only responsive and communicative throughout the process, but they also took the time to get to know me as a candidate and understand my career goals. They provided valuable insights into the role and the company culture, and made sure that I had all the information I needed to make an informed decision. Shoutout to Sophie Raymond from the EMEA team for the guidance and support throughout ! Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better recruitment experience. Box truly values their candidates, and I highly recommend it :)
