I had three interviews (all with the same two people), two virtual and one in-office. I was also asked to complete a lengthy edit test including in-depth pitches, editing a mock article, and writing an original article. After all of this, I was never contacted again, even after sending two followup emails. To ask for unpaid labor, on top of multiple interviews, only to ghost the candidate? Unacceptable and unprofessional. It really shows you the culture of the company and leadership.
