After numerous phone interviews that took 30 minutes to an hour, things went cold. Felt like my time was wasted since nobody was kind enough to at least give me a 'thanks but not thanks, kid'. Would have like to known what I could work on after spending so much time interviewing.

My interview process with Capgemini was overall manageable, but I feel the communication around compensation could be more transparent. Throughout the discussions, the CTC numbers kept changing frequently on calls and there was no written confirmation at any stage, which made it difficult to understand the actual offer structure. As an experienced candidate, clarity and consistency are really important, especially when someone has a counter-offer. However, the counter-offer was not considered at all and the discussion stayed strictly limited to their fixed budget, which was not aligned with the expectations they initially shared. I hope the process becomes more consistent and transparent for future candidates, especially regarding CTC, written confirmation, and handling counter-offers.
