After a not so great interview experience on 5/9/2025, I sent the recruiter the following email: Hi (removed name)! Is there anyone that I can share my feedback with regarding our screening this morning? Not only were you 10 minutes late, you didn't acknowledge your tardiness, and it was a bit off putting for me, which contributed to my responses. Interviews can be anxiety-inducing, so timeliness and creating an environment to have a conversation is great. I asked you three follow up questions, and it seems that you had already made up your mind that I may have not been a great fit, given your responses. To refer me back to the job description when I asked, " What are the top skills or experiences the hiring manager is looking for in an ideal candidate?" - that was a moment to have a real insight into this role and what the hiring manager is truly seeking. I also asked you, " Is there anything in my background or experience that you think I should clarify or expand on to strengthen my candidacy?" You said, "Nope, you've answered all of my questions." This was not an ideal screening experience and at the end, I was disappointed. I understand that I may have not answered the questions or elaborated in the best way - and that is my problem. But I hope that you can create a better screening experience for your future candidates. If I haven't been removed already, please remove me from consideration. Please let me know who I can share this with. The recruiter apologized in the responding email and said she couldn’t share the hiring manager’s email, but she would share with him/her what I stated. I’m not sure if she did, but I was disappointed. I would’ve appreciated my time being considered and an actual interest in me as a candidate.
