Painful and drawn out process. The HR person was very prompt and responsive and was probably the only person that I had a pleasant experience with. I met with about 3-4 employees before I was progressed to the “presentation” panel round which included the hiring manager and another 4 employees (some which I had 1:1 interviews with already). I was asked to present on a 45min slide show and to be able to speak to an RFP. I spent a significant amount of time to ensure that I was presented was my best work and I though the interview went well. I also was not comfortable possibly sharing details from my existing experience that could possibly compromised my current employers business model. I was later asked to just meet with the hiring manager (who was in the panel interview) who then told me that I was not a good fit. So why even bother moving me past the 5 steps interviewing with her panel who obviously felt I had the talent and experience necessary. She herself was new in her role and couldn’t verbalize where she saw the gaps in my experience. I felt like it was such a waste of time and was very unprofessional to ask for so much. The irony is I didn’t go looking for this job either, they found me and asked me to apply but I don’t think they were actually motivated to hire anyone. Quite honestly I don’t think they knew what they wanted in the position either or couldn’t verbalize it clearly. This made it difficult to showcase how my experience could have been helpful to them.

Interviewer applied “amazon” interview approach ... I vs. We, very ineffectively. Tough to take the approach of industry leaders when your company stock is in the tank and and current management has been in place for the spiral.
