The recruiter emailed me back to tell me how impressed they were with my resume and that a hiring manager wants to have an informal interview with me. It was a big red flag and I should've finished the process right there since the mgr wouldn't even disclose his full name. He cancelled first interview 2 hours before - another red flag. When I finally got a chance to speak with him he sounded like he already had somebody else for the role, possibly an internal person and he was just trying to feel the market out.
