      Candidatura

Ho presentato la mia candidatura online. La procedura ha richiesto una settimana. Ho sostenuto un colloquio presso Centeva (Logan, UT)

      Colloquio

They called, scheduled, I went in and the guy forgot about it, he was too busy to interview me so he had the "IT" guy do it. The "IT" guy told me he would just go in and tell the manager yes or no, so there was no formal process. I blew the interview, but I'm glad I did. For a tech company that handles government contracts, they sure don't care about IT infrastructure. I asked what they were looking for and he said they were looking for someone low level, non senior, and told me about how they have hired people from within the company that weren't "IT" but put them in an IT roll (one of those situations where someone knows computers so management assumes they know every aspect technology). The guy interviewing me told me they got hacked because previous "IT" personnel had a password1 format. No security. Keep in mind: government contracts. I asked about a web filter and he said they refuse to get one. The "IT" guy interviewing me also said they pulled him in and he was a programmer, oh, and they don't need a network engineer because he set up the network. He also said there were a lot of egos.... I think I dodged a big bullet here. I got an email from the manager a few days later saying they hired someone more qualified, but the position is still up and active, even on their website. They never even asked for references, the entire event was a waste of time.
