Interview was automated, so no interacting with another person. You were asked 3 questions. After a recording of a question being asked was played a timer would start to countdown 1 minute of prep-time. When that ended your camera would start to record you for your response. The recording would automatically cut off at 2 or 3 min depending on how long they gave you for the question. You would get then either move on or re-do the question. You get 1 re-do per question. It was so awkward and impersonal. The recording would cut you off mid-sentence if you didn't finish before that time was up. The questions they asked had multiple layers to them and so warranted more time than just 2min. I'm already a fast talker, but I had to be un-naturally fast in order to answer each part of a question within the time.

Tell us about a design project you've done. What was your process? What tools did you use? What was the outcome?

The interview process for the Coding it Forward Fellowship was very straightforward; it was on HireVue. And in total, there were 4 questions, and you had 2-3 minutes to respond.

One question that popped up for me was explaining your technical experience relevant to your selected track.

I submitted my HireVue video interview, which had pretty standard questions (Tell me about yourself, Why CIF, etc.). After that I got matched for an interview with a government partner.
