1. I sent my CV via justjoin.it
2. I had a talk on zoom with HR lady and two developers. The talk took us ~ 1h 20 minutes.
3. I had a remote (because of pandemic) trial day. I had my "buddy" I was in contact with all this time. I met the team I was applying to and some other developers from other teams. I joined daily. I had a lunch/coffee break with the team. I had also a task to do in the meantime.
4. I provided a list of 3 contacts to people I worked with before so DocPlanner could talk to them and get references.

Colloquio
The interview process took 2 weeks. It included an initial interview with HR, followed by one technical interview with the team lead and an engineer. After that, I was given a technical task. The next step was a technical interview with questions about the task and some other technical questions related to system design. The interview also included a meeting with the team. In my case, there was an additional technical interview, which was followed by a meeting with one of the engineering directors. Everyone was very polite.

people seem to be very friendly and everyone says it's the best company they worked for (which sounds strange, but let's go with it)

Colloquio
The interview process was split into three separate steps.
The first step was a story about the company. After that, I had to describe myself and we smoothly switched to a technical interview.
The second one was a trial day, where you can spot people you would work with. Also being part of the daily development process. Later there was a task with feedback at the end. In this part of the recruitment process they challenging you to how much do you fit into the company culture.
