First it was a call with an HR and a senior team member. I was able to learn a lot in this interview as I could ask both the questions about the company in general and the team. Next, it was a home assignment to create an ETL pipeline using Airflow and Python. It was a bit time consuming, but interesting and was very related to what data engineers could be doing day to day. Home assignment was followed by a technical interview and the discussion about the assignment. I felt comfortable to express my opinion and discuss the solution. I received well thought feedback immediately about what they liked and disliked in my solution. Next, I received an offer and had a discussion about. They also gladly accepted my request to see the rest of the team. Unfortunately, I had to turn down the offer because I received another more compelling one. But it was a very positive experience and I would have accepted their offer if not for the other one.
