I received an email from a coordinator who wanted to speak with me on the phone. I arranged a date and time on the provided online system and prepared for my interview accordingly. When I sat down at my computer, ready to do my interview, I received an email from the recruiter with the meeting link. To my surprise, it was a link to a meeting on the Microsoft Meeting platform! I didn’t have the app installed on my computer because I usually don’t use Microsoft Meeting. As a result, I was not able to have my video displayed to the recruiter. I just received an email from the recruiter saying that I was unfortunately not considered for the job. I am baffled as to why I’m not considered and have already sent out an email asking why. The meeting itself was nice though! To the recruiters at EF: Please inform your applicants what the meeting platform will be. If I knew it was going to be Microsoft Meeting, I would have downloaded the app beforehand so I can be on camera.
