They had reached out to me via email, and then said they wanted to schedule a time to speak. I don't have any experience in the biological sciences, which is clearly reflected in my CV. The interviewer mentioned that they liked my experience, but were disappointed to hear that I did not have any biological science experience - if so they would have been more interested. If my CV clearly has nothing to do with STEM - why ask for the interview?
