I thought of Expedia as a good company, but a good company is made up of good people and not a bunch of hypocrites and lying HRs.
1. I had 3 Tech rounds 1 Managerial and 1 HR for the post of SDE-3 Android.
2. 15 Dec 2021 - Cleared all the interview rounds.
3. 17th Dec 2021 - I was informed that my feedback is positive and i'll be getting an offer soon.
4. 23rd Dec 2021 - I contacted HRs myself to check for an update, but i was informed that a different HR will be reaching out to me to discuss the offer.
5. By Jan 1st week 2022 - I discussed and finalised an offer on call with the hiring HR, hoping to get a formal offer on email.
6. Jan 2nd week 2022 - I received no update. I reached out to the HR myself and he asked for more time to get approvals on the offer.
7. After another week, he told me that the offer is pending on Hiring Manager and he is down with COVID.
8. Weeks after weeks, HR kept stalling and delaying the process.
I stopped asking for updates as I had lost patience and trust in the HR and the process, even sent an email to the Hiring recruiter and her team, but even she didn't reply.
In short, I wasted more than 2 months even after clearing all the rounds and discussing the offer with HR.
I never imagined a company like Expedia could have people who are so careless and unprofessional.
