The interview process was weighted toward standard behavioural questions (“tell me about a time when…”). While those have their place, the format felt quite rigid for a role that, in reality, tends to be far more dynamic and often nuanced in practice. In my experience, commercial roles rarely play out in neatly structured examples, so a more open, scenario based discussion would have been a better reflection of the day to day reality of the role.
