The whole experience felt somewhat disrespectful from the start. Applied for a Senior Backend Engineer role, but the process felt misaligned with that level. The HR step and interviews were rigid, with little real technical discussion, more like predefined questions and monitored testing than a peer-level conversation. The live coding session especially felt like an exam environment rather than an exchange between experienced engineers. Later, FishingBooker published some research, so it’s possible the interview process was partly used for that purpose.
