After two successive interviews, I was told I would be advancing to final-round conversations. I later learned that an offer had already been extended to another candidate while I was still actively interviewing. It was not fair or professional to continue my interview process under those circumstances, nor to prevent me from completing my final conversation once that decision had already been made. Ultimately, it was a waste of my time and energy — something no candidate should experience.
